Belly Dancing 101 for Cancer Patients

Belly dancing can be a fun way to exercise, improve symptoms such as pain, increase flexibility, promote joint health, and assist in both the physical and emotional aspects of healing after a cancer diagnosis. This form of dance is being used all over the country by survivors who found the gentle movement and exercise to be just what the doctor ordered to help with cancer recovery.
This one hour class is meant to provide women participants with gentle exercise, fun, and most of all, an appreciation for the body you have. The class will introduce you to belly dancing basics as a body friendly dance, using gentle movement involving no leaping or abrupt movement. Belly dancing is being used all over the country by participants wanting both physical and emotional healing after a cancer diagnosis. AND, it is fun! Wear comfortable workout wear that makes you feel chic and beautiful! Suggestions are leggings and a tank top or midriff top (if you dare).
No dance experience is necessary.
